KERR DENTAL Permlastic is a rubber-based impression material primarily composed of polysulfide, offering two different viscosities of elastomeric impression material.

Features:

  • Polysulfide, rubber-based elastomer available in two viscosities.
  • Regular Body: Used as a functional impression material for the fabrication of total or partial dentures. It is highly fluid, making it ideal for detailed impression-taking.
  • Heavy Body: Applied for inlay, onlay, and fixed crown and bridge restorations, as well as defining prosthetic margins, ensuring precise detail and impression stability.

Application:

Permlastic offers three different viscosities to accommodate various dental impression needs:

  1. Regular Permlastic:

    • Applied for full-mouth or partial dentition impressions.
    • Its high fluidity allows for the capture of detailed impressions.
    • Can be used independently or in conjunction with Light Body Permlastic for crown and bridge impression-taking.
  2. Light Body Permlastic:

    • More fluid than Regular Permlastic, making it suitable for fillings and bridge restorations.
    • Typically mixed with Heavy Body Permlastic to achieve optimal results in impression-taking.
  3. Heavy Body Permlastic:

    • Best suited for inlay, onlay, and fixed crown and bridge restorations, as well as for defining the edges of prostheses.
    • It has a thicker consistency compared to the other viscosities, ensuring a sturdy and accurate impression.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Mixing:
    • Base and catalyst are mixed in a 1:1 ratio on mixing paper.
    • Mixing time should not exceed 45 to 60 seconds.
  2. Application:
    • Once mixed, the material is loaded into a syringe or impression tray.
    • The impression-taking process should be completed within 6 minutes inside the mouth.
  3. The final impression is sent to the laboratory for further processing.
